Bands play in five village locations on the Saturday afternoon before meeting up in Hatherleigh Square for massed bands in the evening. Another of our core principals is incredibly important for the bands\, actually it should be the top of the list…. the bands get to let their hair down and have fun!

DESCRIPTION:Anyone who has lived in Claygate for more than a year will be familiar with the Flower & Village Show held annually on the second or third Saturday in July.  This is the day the recreation ground is packed with 5\,000 to 6\,000 people around the multitude of tents and entertainment features. \nThe show is now in its 120th year\, and it all began in April 1903 when the 5th Baron Foley chaired a meeting at the Claygate Institute in Common Lane to “consider the advisability of holding a Flower Show and Industrial Exhibition in connection with the village” to match the flower shows in Esher and Oxshott.
